The narrative we tell ourselves is so important in fostering positive change. The old story we have been told is of separation, the new story is of unification.

There is a great cry for help for humanity and from our planet, and it can’t be ignored. That is the transformative moral-value base that is changing throughout the entire planet, and that is why this social movement will be different this time.

By engaging with people currently working to create a reality that embodies the science of being and spirit of community, we can see we are already on a path toward passion, peace and prosperity.

In order to shift beyond this current trough in the wave of evolution, our ego must move out toward the universal soul while simultaneously finding its personality within the universal self—not as a detached entity, but as a unique part within the whole.

If we can keep in mind compassion, gratitude and a sense of humility we can begin to help draw others outside of their comfort zone and toward an understanding for peace and harmony for the greater good.

We can be aware of when we need to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones, and close the gap between understanding and taking action in creating our own evolution.

Meaningful transformation through mastery is not achieved outside of our daily lives. Our practice must be integrated into our regular routine, and to be able to do this everyone deserves a fair and living wage.

We have come full circle, and that’s no end point, but only the beginning of discovering deeper answers to the big questions and thus learning how to be co-creators of the answers themselves.

We must search for solution-oriented efforts, but how do we sustain our health, while also fostering a successful movement? It will require a shift in these three, key areas.

What is leadership transformed? We could start by saying it is the emergent model of leadership that taps into the highest potential of our creative capabilities and is driven by our inner spirit.

So, I bought a bike, but what I’m really saying here is that each of us, every day can make a decision to find our inner freedom, exercise our inner will, improve our life, develop a healthy habit and make that personal contribution to our own evolution. It could be as simple and mundane as buying a bike, but it does symbolize a true, deep and profound spiritual process within the individual. I encourage everyone to symbolically go out, and buy their own bike.

When we talk of establishing a spiritual practice, it is important to understand that the word “practice” doesn’t mean converting to any religious tradition. Your spiritual practice is a daily routine you commit to that promotes positive growth and transformation in mind, body and spirit. Here I am sharing eight of my daily practices to help you find your own personal practice.

If 2012 truly represents a total shift in perspectives, and I think it does, then what is it we are shifting into?  It is clear that we are changing from an age dominated by thousands of years of material influence to a more spiritual orientation, but there are many other binary changes in our general orientation as well, one of the most important of which is the crossover from the masculine to the feminine.

In both the literal and symbolic sense, we are living in a time of great evolutionary change, and in my opinion, we can’t really talk about what the year 2012 means for us as a global community without addressing the Mayan calendar and its prophesies surrounding this momentous year.

In the past, religious conflict has fueled strife among people the world over. Although the consequences have been significant and tragic, these conflicts did not threaten the very survival of humankind. With the advent of globalization, the increase in terrorism, and the creation of weapons of mass destruction, this is no longer the case. During the Greenheart Transforms book club, Paula discusses her views on the book, "Toward a True Kinship of Faiths."

The awe and wonder is no longer about individual essence, but rather, about collective power. As we share our visions and join forces, we see that the power of One, becomes the power of Many and adds up to far more than the sum of individual parts.

It is important to emphasize that I’m not in any way asking anyone to stop their any personal work when I say we must focus on the good of the whole. The fact that we must begin shifting our focus from Descartes’s “I think therefore I am,” to the Ubuntu philosophy of “I am because you are;” doesn’t mean we stop worrying about our inner personal transformation.
